Informal bids will be received for the Fire Station 96 Apparatus Bay Addition Project on Thursday October 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the County Fire Administration Offices 157 W. 5th Street, Second Floor, San Bernardino CA. 92415-0451.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Job Walk is scheduled for Thursday October 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the station located on 39188 Rim of the World Drive, Fawnskin CA. A sign in sheet will be provided. Contractors submitting a bid and failing to attend this meeting will have their bids rendered unresponsive.

ADDENDUM #1: October 4, 2010
The plans and specifications for this project state that the prime contractor bidding must have a Class A – general Engineering License. The Building Contractor has determined that a B or C-10 license is also acceptable.
ADDENDUM #2: October 8, 2010
On page 481600-4, under qualifications of system installer, paragraph 2 of the specifications reads: "Maintain a fully staffed and equipped maintenance and repair operation within 90 miles of the job site with the ability to provide emergency restoration service within 24 hours."
Clarification: The time it takes to respond is more important than the physical distance from the site. As long as the contractor or sub-contractor installer is no further than two hours' driving time away from the job site and can provide emergency service within 24 hours, contractor is eligible to bid.
